Dress for Warmer Weather

The weather is getting warmer here in Columbia, SC, making it important to know how to dress for warmer weather. The last thing you want is to be uncomfortable through the day, which is why we’re sharing  some ways you can dress for the weather. We hope the tips we have for you in this week’s Peachtree Place Blog will help you keep cool.

The type of fabrics you wear has a profound effect on how cool you’ll feel during the day. The type of fabrics you wear during the winter differ from what you wear during the summer. Instead of thicker, warmer fabrics, opt for lighter fabrics that allow more airflow. Put aside the wool and break out the cotton and linen clothes! Make the right fabric choices and you’ll have a better time this summer.

We mentioned how the fabric that your clothing is made of can keep you cool, however, that’s not the only way you can keep cool! The fit of your clothes can also lend to keeping cool. Instead of tighter fitting clothing, we recommend opting for looser clothes that will allow for more air flow.

Do you wear accessories often? If you don’t, it may be time for you to start! Certain accessories can improve your quality of life, especially on the sunniest of days. We suggest investing in a nice pair of sunglasses and a quality hat! Sunglasses will help keep the sun out of your eyes while giving you that stylish look and a hat can keep the sun out of your face by providing shade. Though cheaper sunglasses can do the job properly, quality sunglasses may provide more UV protection and be more durable through use. Likewise, investing in a quality straw hat will keep your head cool and the sun out of your face.
