Pumpkin Milkshakes

The food of Thanksgiving is usually the star of the show, leaving the drinks as second fiddle. As you’re diving into mountains of delicious turkey, mashed potatoes, and other side dishes, you’re going to reach for a glass of something to drink, so might as well make that drink delicious! In this week’s Peachtree Place Blog, we’ve got a short list of drinks you could serve for your Thanksgiving party, we hope you try some of them out.

Mulled Cranberry Apple Cider

  • 4 cups cranberry juice blend or cranberry cocktail

  • 4 cups apple cider or apple juice

  • Peel of 1 orange, cut in large strips

  • 1-inch piece of ginger, peeled and sliced

  • 2 (3-inch) cinnamon sticks

  • 4 whole allspice berries

  • 4 whole cloves

  • Optional sweeteners: honey, brown sugar, or sucanat

  • Optional garnishes: cinnamon sticks, orange slices, fresh cranberries

 

Apple cider is one of the cold weather staples, which makes it perfect for a night of fun and friends! Try out this recipe for a delicious drink next to your meal! 

Sparkling Berry Apple Mocktail

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 oz mixed berry syrup

  • 3 oz apple cider

  • 3 oz sparkling water

 

Mixed Berry Syrup:

  • 12 oz frozen mixed berries

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

 

Looking for a cocktail that even kids can drink? Look no further than this mocktail! This recipe has it all: the sweetness of the berries, the cinnamon from the cider, and the fizz of the sparkling water! Try it out today! 

Pumpkin Pie Milkshake

  • 5-6 scoops pumpkin ice cream (or vanilla), slightly softened

  • 1/2 cup whole milk

  • 1/8 to 1/4 cup pumpkin puree

  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/16 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • 4-5 pieces of pumpkin pie crust scraps, baked and cooled

 

Who said dessert had to be after the meal? This pumpkin pie milkshake is a great drink for Thanksgiving that would allow you to bypass dessert altogether! This recipe may be a little much to make for an entire large party of people, but if you’re having a small group over, try it out!
